Wedding turns into tragedy in Turkey, groom killed by guest
A wedding in Turkey has turned into a tragedy where the groom died after being shot.
It is learned that the young man was accidentally killed at his wedding when a guest opened fire during the celebration.
The 23-year-old died the day after his wedding in a village in the northern province of Giresun.
A relative of the groom, suspected of the fatal shooting, has been arrested.
Similar shooting accidents during celebrations are common in Turkey, where a local foundation estimates there are around 40 million firearms in circulation, most of which are illegal.
One person was accidentally killed and two others were injured last week in a similar incident at a wedding in the neighboring province of Trabzon.
