NATO chief: Russia ready to continue the war, we should not be naive
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte says Russian attacks in Kiev, which hit civilian areas and the EU diplomatic mission, and killed at least 18 people, show that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to continue the war.

"We are all shocked by what happened, first of all because these are attacks that are not against military targets; these are civilian targets. While we are trying to do everything to support US President Donald Trump to end this war, in the meantime, Russian President Putin is ready to continue it, to continue attacking innocent civilians in Ukraine," he said at a press conference in the German city of Wurzburg.

Rutte mentioned that he has consulted with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and High Representative for Foreign Affairs Kaya Callas following the Russian attack on the EU representation in Kiev.
