Meghan Markle's father has been rushed to intensive care to undergo emergency surgery, his son has revealed.
Thomas Markle, 81, was taken to hospital in the Philippines on Tuesday after falling seriously ill at his home. Meghan's father underwent a three-hour operation on Thursday, local time, and is currently in intensive care, his son said.
The 81-year-old will now undergo another surgery to remove a blood clot, his son Thomas Jr. added.
Thomas Sr. and Meghan's relationship broke down and the couple separated in 2018, after Meghan married Prince Harry.
Thomas Jr., speaking to the Daily Mail, said he rushed his father to a local hospital in the Philippines, where doctors said his "life was in immediate danger," after several scans.
