Various insects have appeared in Paris in central and frequented areas of the French capital.

Videos posted by citizens on social media showed insects on the subway, on an AirFrance plane, in various forms of transport and in schools, which, along with several reported cases that have not been officially confirmed, have caused serious concern. about the health situation in the city.

On Wednesday, government officials met with Paris transport officials to review the data, while the country's transport minister, Clemont Bonn, announced that specially trained dogs would be used to carry out checks on trains and metro tracks in "the city of light".

Bonn clarified, at the same time, that there is no evidence of an epidemic, while clarifying that in recent weeks there have been about 10 reports of passengers on the Paris public transport company RATP, and 37 on the national railway company SNCF. Everything was checked, but nothing was found.

"When there is a problem, we face it, we will not deny it. There is no outbreak of insects in public transport," the French minister said.

The alarm was also raised in the south of France. A school was alerted to explosions twice within a month and the management was forced to move some classrooms to the town hall for lessons. In the north, a hospital ward had to be moved to handle the cases. Right now the cases are believed to be few compared to the hysteria that has been created.

However, at the same time, France's National Health Service advised citizens to check their hotel beds and be careful when placing used furniture or mattresses in their homes.

Insect bites leave red spots, blisters or large rashes on the skin and can cause severe itching or allergic reactions. They also often cause psychological distress, sleep problems, anxiety and depression.
