The Kremlin has updated the list of US officials and celebrities banned from entering Russia, including actor Morgan Freeman.

The Hollywood star is among the 963 Americans on the list, which also includes Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton.

Freeman appears in a 2017 promotional video for an organization called the Committee to Investigate Russia, CNN reports.

The video was created by director Rob Reiner, best known for films including "The Princess Bride" and "When Harry Met Sally," which has also been added to the Kremlin roster.

Russia's foreign ministry said the individuals on the list were inciting Russophobia.
