Prime Minister Albin Kurti thanked all those who have contributed to the liberation of the country and on the road to independence.

He expressed special gratitude to international partners and allies, who he said would be forever grateful.

"We are grateful to all those who have contributed to our liberation struggle and our independence process. Special gratitude to our international partners and allies for our common path to state consolidation and the international subjectivity of our Republic. We are always and forever grateful," Kurti said at the government's festive gathering.

Kurti said Kosovo is the "common home" that was built with the support of allies.

"After the devastating war in 1998-1999, we rebuilt our homes. With the support of our international allies, we built our common home, the Republic of Kosovo. A genuine parliamentary republic, with justice and equality for its citizens, contributor to peace and guarantee of peace. A state that values democratically, respect for human rights of all minorities, and social justice and solidarity, has at the core of every political and social course. A quarter of a century after the war, our Republic stands strong. We stand proud because despite the challenges, our country is developing," Kurti said.

Kurti congratulated all citizens of Kosovo on this day and said that the Republic of Kosovo was, is and will be the home of all its citizens, without distinction.

"As the day it was proclaimed, 16 years ago, today and every day further, the Republic of Kosovo was, is and will be the home of all its citizens, without distinction. "Today we celebrate and congratulate not only Albanians, but also non-majority communities in our Republic, Serbs, Bosniaks, Turks, Roma, Ashkali, Egyptians, Gorani, but also Montenegrins, Croats, etc. ", Kurti added.
