7.5 magnitude earthquake hits Atlantic Ocean, tsunami alert issued

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 on the Richter scale was recorded on Thursday evening in the Atlantic Ocean.

The tremors were very strong and were reportedly felt in Argentina and Chile. 

The epicenter of the earthquake, according to the United States Geological Survey, was recorded approximately 710 kilometers southeast of Ushuaia, in the Drake Passage.

Following the earthquake, authorities in Chile issued a tsunami warning. The area is isolated and there are no reports of damage or casualties.
