Netanyahu: If Hamas surrenders its weapons and releases the hostages, the war ends

"The war can end today if Hamas surrenders its weapons and releases the remaining 50 hostages," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared.

He has underlined that the elimination of Hamas's last stronghold is essential for a lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.

In an interview given to international media, he reiterated that the operation to eliminate the 'terrorists' will continue even if Hamas agrees to release the hostages. According to him, this is because he intends to secure his country.
