Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that Moscow would consider using "all weapons" at its disposal in the event of a direct attack on Russian territory, including Kaliningrad.

Asked about the latest Russian warnings regarding the Baltic Sea enclave, Putin confirmed that Moscow had issued a statement and sent letters to several embassies.

"We are not making the threats. This is a response to attempts to threaten us," he declared.

Putin referred to statements by Western and European politicians about the possibility of a military confrontation with Russia in 2029 or 2030, arguing that Moscow is reacting to these scenarios.

"If it comes to a direct attack on the Russian Federation - in this case we are talking about Kaliningrad, but it could also be about other territories - of course, the use of all the weapons that our country has at its disposal will immediately be on the agenda," Putin said.

According to the Russian president, in the face of NATO, which he described as a potential adversary with greater capabilities, Russia would be forced to use the "competitive advantages" it possesses.

However, Putin sought to soften the interpretation that his statements constituted a threat of a future Russian attack.

"We are not threatening anyone. We do not intend to attack anyone in 2029, in 2030 or in 2050, but if we face aggression, we will have to respond," he declared.

Putin also accused European governments of escalating tensions with Russia to divert attention from their own economic and domestic problems, a claim for which the material provides no evidence.

In the same speech, the Russian president warned that international conflicts are likely to continue, while repeating Moscow's version that Russia was "obliged" to respond to what he called aggression in Ukraine. This contradicts the fact that Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
