Coincidence or planned? Meta and Berisha were detained by order of SPAK on the same date

Ilir Meta was arrested this Monday by order of the Special Prosecutor's Office

The former President and currently the chairman of the Freedom Party, was arrested by the BKH agents at Kthesa e Kamza, while on his way to the PL headquarters, where he was going to hold a press conference.

But the very interesting fact is that Ilir Meta was arrested on the same date when Sali Berisha also received the security measure from GJKKO, reports Vox News.

On October 21 of last year, the GJKKO imposed an obligation to appear and a ban on leaving the country for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha under the charge of passive corruption.

The security measure for the former prime minister of the country was given in the framework of investigations by SPAK for the privatization of the sports complex of the Partizani club in the capital.

On the same day, Jamarbër Malltezi was also arrested at Rinas airport.

Berisha received the measure of house arrest on December 30, 2023 after he did not comply with the mandatory appearance measure.

Meanwhile, charges of corruption, money laundering and non-declaration of assets have been brought against Ilir Meta. The prosecutor of the case is Sotir Kllapi.

Ilir Meta is the first former President to be handcuffed.
