
The decision that revises the salaries of teaching staff in educational institutions has already been published in the Official Gazette and extends its effects from July 1.
According to the decision, this increase includes teaching employees (teachers/educators, instructors), psycho-social service employees, as well as other non-teaching employees, who serve in educational institutions of the pre-university education system in: a) preschool education; b) primary education; c) lower secondary education; ç) higher secondary education; d) educational institutions for the care of special categories of students; dh) children's cultural centers; e) student dormitories.
The decision clarifies the constituent elements of the gross salary for two categories:
a) For teaching staff:
Salary per position, which rewards the relative value of each job position; ii. qualification level supplement, which rewards the educational level required for the relevant job position.
The value of the qualification level supplement for each group of diplomas is determined in attachment no. 4, which is attached to this decision and is an integral part of it; iii. seniority allowance, which is given at the rate of: -0.6 (zero point six) % after each year of work for the first 10 (ten) years (1-10 years) and is calculated on the salary of the position; -0.8 (zero point eight ) % after each year of work for the second 10 (ten) years (11–20 years) and is calculated on the salary of the position; -1 (one) % after each year of work for the third 10 (ten) years (21–30 years ) and is calculated on the salary of the position; iv. the supplement for the qualification category, which rewards the professional development of teaching staff throughout their career, after the benefit of the qualification category, will be calculated as a percentage, for each category, as follows:-10 (ten) % of the level supplement of the qualification, for the "qualified teacher" category; -20 (twenty) % of the qualification level supplement, for the "specialist teacher" category; -30 (thirty) % of the qualification level supplement, for the "master teacher" category . The percentage measure, according to the above definitions, is calculated on the value determined in attachment no. 4, of this decision, for the relevant group of diplomas, referring to the highest level of qualification, which the teaching staff possesses; c. allowance for a special nature of work applicable to some positions in schools of higher vocational secondary education.
b) For psycho-social service workers and other non-teaching workers
Salary per position, which rewards the relative value of each job position; ii. qualification level supplement, which rewards the educational level required for the relevant job position. The value of the qualification level supplement for each group of diplomas is determined in attachment no. 4, which is attached to this decision and is an integral part of it; iii. seniority allowance, which is given at the rate of: -0.6 (zero point six) % after each year of work, for the first 10 (ten) years (1–10 years) and is calculated on the salary of the position; -0.8 (zero point eight) % after each year of work, for the second 10 (ten) years (11–20 years) and is calculated on the salary of the position; -1 (one) % after each year of work, for the third 10 (ten) years (21 -30 years) and is calculated on the salary of the position.
The decision also determines the allowances to be received on top of the salary according to the level of qualification for each degree group. Below are the complete tables accompanying the decision.
