The German Embassy in Tirana has reposted the message from the European Union Embassy in Tirana.
The EU has condemned police violence in a statement.
"Freedom of assembly and expression are fundamental rights and core European values. They must be respected and exercised peacefully. We are aware of allegations of excessive use of force by the police against protesters and journalists.
"We expect police actions to be proportionate and respect fundamental rights, just as we expect these cases to be investigated with priority," a statement from this diplomatic headquarters reads.
According to the Brussels representation in our country, "all parties should be encouraged to reduce tensions. Constructive dialogue between all actors involved is the only way forward."
