Fire destroys apartment, owner suffers severe burns

A house has been almost completely destroyed by flames in the "Sheq i Madh" neighborhood in Fier.

The incident occurred around 11:00, when residents noticed the fire and immediately notified the fire department.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and, after intervening, were able to extinguish the flames, preventing the fire from spreading to other apartments, which were located very close to the house that was engulfed in flames.

During the efforts to save the apartment and extinguish the fire, the homeowner suffered severe burns. She was transported for medical assistance to the Fier Regional Hospital and, due to her condition, is expected to be sent to Tirana for specialized treatment.

Meanwhile, the family of four has now been left homeless, as the apartment was severely damaged by the fire.

The family members, who live in difficult economic conditions, are seeking the help of institutions and any person who can help them, to cope with this difficult situation and to provide shelter.

Meanwhile, work is underway to determine the causes that led to the fire.
