The Special Prosecutor's Office asked for a three-month extension of the investigations for Laert Haxhiu's group, in order to fill the deficiencies in the file, a request which was partially accepted by GJKKO.

The trial panel gave prosecutor Behar Dibra only 45 days to fully complete the investigations.

In this case, Erisiano Abedini, Bujar Abedini, Lulzim Spahija, Ligor Romaçka, Idriz Manej, Maringlen Topuzi, Bledar Berberi, Enriko Xhahysa and Fatjon Veliu are accused.

The arrest of Artan Tafan, after a robbery at a currency exchange point in the Astir area of ​​Tirana, led to the attack on Laert Haxhi's group.

Tafani became a repentant justice and confessed several criminal events that shocked the country during the years 2021-2023, starting from murders, assassinations and violent thefts.

The criminal gang was busted at the end of September 2023, following an extensive police operation that spanned the entire country.
