Murder of Kozeta Teço/ Korça Court orders arrest in PRISON for 31-year-old Ilirjan Selmani!

The Korça Court has ordered the security measure "prison arrest" for 31-year-old Ilirjan Selmani .

The young man is accused of stabbing 52-year-old Kozeta Teço to death and then burning down her apartment in Pogradec. 

The incident, which occurred in neighborhood no. 1, Pogradec, was initially reported as accidental after it was suspected that the 52-year-old woman had lost her life from asphyxiation during the fire in her apartment.

Later, during the investigative actions and examination of the body, suspicions arose that the cause of the 52-year-old's death was not asphyxiation, because they found injuries caused by a knife on her body.

From the footage of security cameras in the area, it was possible to identify the perpetrator, who is suspected of having had an intimate relationship with the 52-year-old for 3 years.

After killing the 52-year-old woman and setting the house on fire, Selmani is suspected of leaving the apartment at around 5:00 AM.

He is accused of the criminal offense of "Murder due to family relations".
