The Special Prosecutor's Office clarified this Tuesday the operation that happened the day before in the city of Elbasan, where a total of 21 security measures were issued, including former officials of the State Police and the Court of Elbasan, members of Suel Çela's group and employees of the media.
It is about the criminal group led by the internationally wanted citizen Marjus Lulaj alias Suel Çela, who was involved in the trafficking of cocaine from Latin America to European countries and Albania, as well as the beating of his rivals in Elbasan.
And as all the attention of the media and authorities is on the SPAK mega-operation with the aim of "dissolving" the criminal group led by Çela, we recall the event of September 2017 when Suel Çela drove the police in the middle of Elbasan in an armored Audi.
On the evening of September 18, 2017, the Police of Elbasan was carrying out a check for the verification of luxury or suspected trafficked vehicles.
During this operation, the officers stopped and checked a luxury vehicle "Range Rover" with license plate "AA 040 OJ" worth 100,000 euros.
At that time it was reported that the driver of this vehicle was asked to be accompanied for documentation verification.
However, at the moment when this vehicle was being accompanied by the "Eagles" operatives, an "Audi" type vehicle came at "hellish" speed and hit the Police vehicle with license plate MB 002 AA, endangering the lives of the operatives. After the impact, the vehicle entered the Food Market.

For this event, the police at that time put three people in handcuffs, while seven vehicles were seized, three of which were armored, as well as a sports firearm.
Ledio Zhabeli and Kelmend Xhaferri, who were in the "Range Rover" vehicle, were arrested.
The arrest of these citizens was made after a quantity of illegal cannabis and weapons were found and seized in their apartment.
Likewise, after the event of September 18, it was possible to arrest the guard of the Food Market, who disobeyed the order of the Police to open the door where the "Audi" vehicle entered after crashing into the officers' vehicle.
At that time, the Police handcuffed the citizen Enea Bektesh, as the person driving the vehicle that hit the officers, but after investigations, according to the Prosecutor's Office, it turned out that the driver was the "strongman" of Elbasan, Suel Çela.
