The murderers of Eglantina Buçi, Faik and Shkëlzen Buci, who have been sentenced to 25 years in prison after the conviction, are demanding their innocence from the Supreme Court.

The victim is the daughter and sister of the 2 perpetrators. It is learned that the incident happened after the 23-year-old wanted to live together with her boyfriend but encountered problems from family members who did not agree. A situation which ended with taking the young girl's life.

After killing Eglantina in 2012, father and son hid her murder by burying her in Malin e Gropa. The punishment of the perpetrators was decided by the Appeal, but they are claiming their innocence.

The serious event was undiscovered until 2 years ago. The fate of the deceased was revealed after her skeleton was discovered in the area where the victim was buried.

After the examination, it turned out that the skeleton belonged to Eglantina Buçi.

How did the murder happen?

Shkëlzen asked Eglantina to have a coffee. They were also accompanied by a friend of Shkëlzen.

On the way to the place where she was buried, the 23-year-old realized that something was not right. At this moment, his brother took out his pistol and shot him with a bullet.

After 8 years, Shkëlzen's friend, a person who received the status of repentant of justice, confessed to the investigators everything he knew about this serious event.

With his testimony, Faiku was also arrested, while the friend is accused of helping father and son to kill and hide the girl's body.
