A serious case happened yesterday in the city of Korça, where a 74-year-old man, identified as citizen Nikollaq Çango, took lawyer Entela Dvorani hostage at gunpoint for about four hours in her office.


It is known from sources that the moment he arrived at Dvoran's office, he began to demand an account of the progress of a judicial process for which he had chosen this lawyer as a representative.

According to the sources, it is confirmed that the case of a civil nature has been in the Supreme Court for 5 years and this has created indignation in the elderly, pushing it to the act of hostage taking.

Immediately after the lawyer's denunciation, the Korça blues seized the old man's gun.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Korçë Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in a free state for the citizen N. Ç., a resident of Korçë, after he allegedly threatened with a sporting weapon (pneumatic pistol) and removed the freedom in her office, of a lawyer, whom this citizen had as his legal representative in several judicial processes developed on property issues", the police announcement states.

Meanwhile, in an interview for the media, the lawyer Entela Dvorani has recounted the moments under the threat of the gun, showing that the old man had threatened her with her life.

According to her, the 74-year-old man was in a serious psychological state, especially since for a long period of time, no date has been set for the Supreme Court to consider the case, at a time when his property is occupied.
