The Maliq-Lozhan-Strelcë road, which for more than 10 days was used as an alternative by drivers to pass towards Gramsh after the blockage of the Librazhd-Prrenjas axis, has suffered new damage.
The continuous circulation of vehicles and the significant increase in traffic during these days seem to have further aggravated the situation.
In addition to landslides and damage to protective barriers, deep cracks in the asphalt and deformations of the road surface have appeared in some parts of this axis.
Although the number of vehicles has decreased since the reopening of the main road, the damage to the road remains the biggest problem.
So far, no intervention has been made to repair it, but this road needs immediate intervention to avoid further deterioration.
The Maliq–Lozhan–Strelcë axis was built by the Gjikuria company and the investment for its construction has reached the value of around 1.4 billion lekë. The recurring problems on this road have often raised questions about the quality of the works.
