A British tourist has denounced a case of credit card fraud in Tirana, as he claims, asking for help on how to act.

The tourist, on social networks, claims that the restaurant "N'Çarshi", at the Castle of Tirana, kept a large amount of 2,100 euros, instead of the 2,100 lek that his table cost.

"I was in Tirana over the weekend and a restaurant mistakenly charged me €2,100 instead of 2,100 Lek. When I returned to the restaurant, they claimed that they would initiate a refund through their bank. I reported the problem to my bank (HSBC UK), which initially issued a temporary refund. However, they have canceled it due to insufficient evidence to classify the payment as fraud. The restaurant now does not cooperate and I believe that I should report the incident to the police. I'm currently back in the UK and would like to file a police report and consider my available options," he writes on Reddit.

He also says that he only has the bill of the card that made the payment, and not the tax bill of the restaurant in question.
