The arrest of Islam Sefa

The Special Prosecution Office issued its final conclusions for Islam Sefa, accused of trafficking 912 kilograms of drugs from Albania to Germany, requesting his sentence of 17 years in prison.

If Sefa is found guilty by the Criminal Court, his sentence will be reduced to 11 years and 4 months in prison due to the summary trial.

He was arrested in July last year at the Special Prosecution Office, after being found by BKH agents in a bar near the prosecution office.

SPAK accuses Sefa of being the leader and financier of drug trafficking from Albania to Germany, worth 3.3 million euros.

The investigation revealed that the criminal group, which included Islam Sefa, imported significant quantities of marijuana into the Federal Republic of Germany in several episodes during 2020-2021.

The quantity of narcotics was mainly supplied from Albania and Spain, which, after entering German territory, was traded in the Wolfsburg, Magdeburg regions, as well as in other countries of the European Union.
