
A dangerous overtaking is suspected to have been the cause of a serious road accident that left two dead and eight injured in Caravaggio, Italy, involving four vehicles.
The incident occurred at around 12:30 on Sunday, March 15, on the provincial road 185 “Rivoltana”, in the section leading to Mozzanica, near a local restaurant. The dynamics of the accident are being investigated by the Treviglio Traffic Police.
According to preliminary reconstruction by investigators, the accident is suspected to have been caused by a Mercedes C180 car. At the wheel was a 29-year-old woman of Albanian origin, resident of Calvenzano.
The woman allegedly attempted to overtake a Volkswagen Sharan carrying a family of five from Madignano, in the province of Crema.
