The Assembly of Montenegro was accompanied by tensions and clashes this Monday, as the former Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic almost had a physical confrontation with the deputy Nikola Zirojevic.

Immediately after the incident, other deputies also intervened to prevent the escalation of the situation, Serbian media write.

The tension reached its peak when Zirojevic, addressing his colleagues in the Assembly, suggested that a deputy who expresses aggressive behavior should be given the sedative Bensedin, after which Abazovic's reaction has come.

Zirojevic asked Abazovic to leave the assembly hall, suggesting a possible physical conflict. The escalation was prevented by several other deputies, who intervened to calm the situation.
