In the Partizani affair trial, former Minister of Sports, Ylli Pango, was also asked if he knew Afrim Tola, who in the SPAK file is said to have been one of the members of the Commission that was set up to evaluate the Partizani multi-sports club.
As with many questions asked by SPAK prosecutors, Pango said that the name Afrim Tole did not remind him of anything.
Even when asked by SPAK about a letter sent to him by his former subordinate, Violeta Shqevi, who told him that the basketball court and many other properties had been forcibly occupied, Pango again said that he did not remember anything that happened 18 years ago.
Excerpt from the testimony
Prosecutor: Afrim Tola, do you remember anything?
Ylli Pango: No, I have to try to remember.
Prosecutor: On April 14, 2008, Shqevi notified you in writing that the basketball court and many other properties had been forcibly occupied. Do you remember this letter and what happened next?
Pango: SPAK pointed out this letter to me, I do not deny that it was written, the director did not do it as an expert in the legislation of jurisprudence, every minister knows that assets must be controlled by the Ministry of Economy, in one of the government meetings, there was a discussion about the privatization of properties, I requested the transfer of assets to our jurisdiction, we did not have ownership of the sports facilities.
Prosecutor: Do you know the legal side?
Pango: I am the author of many books and a member of parliament. I don't remember what I did 18 years ago?
