Fiks Fare denounced on Tuesday evening a scandal in Lezhë, that some citizens have been threatened with their lives by some state employees, connected to a family in that area.

Arben Staka and Luigj Leka complained to the newsroom of the investigative show, who denounced to the police the actions of the managers and former managers of the Lezha Cadastre regarding the registration of a property. But, two hours after the report, one of the whistleblowers, Arben Staka, was called by the widow of Ardian Nikulaj, who lost his life 1 year ago, to meet him at her bar in Shengjin. In these premises, Arbeni meets the director of the Cadastre, Aris Mema and the former director Gentian Malotaj and is asked to withdraw the report.

"My family bought with a notarial contract a plot of land and a cousin's house in the Shengjin Island area, Lezhë. The seller is Ndue Leka and the buyer is Agustin Staka (the whistleblower's brother). We wanted to register this property in the Cadastre, but we learned that some of our cousins ​​had registered it in their name. They had even registered the part we bought. They had parts, but separated. They had registered them in the Cadastre, even the part belonging to the Leka and Staka family. They had left their property, about 4 dynyms, as 'state property'. Now, we have nowhere to go, neither the property nor the old building that we bought", said the informant.

He further claims that, after learning that they no longer had property, they went to the Lezha Police on July 16, 2024.

"On this date, at around 12.00, we filed a criminal complaint with the Lezha Police, in the Economic Crime sector. Two hours after we filed a complaint, Vera (Deda) Nikulaj, who is the wife of the late Ardian Nikulaj, who was killed in his business in Shengjin, contacted me and the family that sold us the property. He asks me to meet him. I go to the 'Coral' bar in Shengjin and the current director of the Lezha Cadastre, Gentian Malota (now former director), the former director of the Lezha Cadastre Aris Mema (recently appointed director, was also present in those premises was a director before), a lawyer and some people from the Nikulaj family, who were in the premises of the bar. He says that he sold part of the land to the Staka family, with whom they are cousins, while he and his family own the other part, as they were divided in the 90s. He claims that he went to register it and learned that the land and the old house were registered in the name of some of his cousins.
