Prime Minister Edi Rama's initiative to create a Bektashi state in Tirana has caused strong reactions and controversies in the country.

This afternoon, a group of Islamic associations, including Majhlis, TUMED, Call to Mercy, Albanian Union of Theologists and Free Palestine, protested today in front of the Muslim Community, under the slogan "Not in my name".

In his speech, one of the representatives of the protest today, showed the reasons against the establishment of the Bektashi state.

"Baba Mondi, this person does not represent the Albanian Bektashi Muslims. He has become a lever and a weight in the hands of Israel. He attends meetings with representatives of Israel and thanks them for their favors. He made the Bektash temple a reception hall for Israeli officers and soldiers.

Together with Prime Minister Rama, he got involved in a dangerous project of betrayal for the Albanian nation and state. A project whose source is unknown. A state within a state based on religion violates the constitution and violates religious harmony ", said Florian Arapi.

The protest was also held to end the war in Gaza.

"Genocide is being committed in Palestine. The vice-president of the Muslim Community and the Prime Minister of Albania are expecting and supporting the president of the genocidal state ", it was emphasized in the protest.
