The Holy See of the Vatican, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Mark Palnikaj has sent through the Apostolic Cardinal, the blessing and gratitude of His Holiness Pope Francis.

Ceremonia për dorëzimin e këtij Bekimi Apostolik u mbajt në Prishtinë, ne nje organizim tepër dinjitoz me pjesemarres te shumte si: z. Fatmir Sejdiu ish President i Republikes se Kosoves, z. Agim Çeku ish Kryeministri, Kleriku i shquar Kosovar Don Lush Gjergji, z. Sadri Ramabaja, studiuesit e njohur Prof.dr.Anton Nik Berisha, Prof.dr. Zymer Neziri e shume  personalitete te botes akademike, miq, familjar e dashamires.

Ndërkaq, më poshtë gjeni të plotë nderimin e Papa Françeskut për Mark Palnikajt:

Fjalën e hapjes së këtij eventi e mbajti Prof.dr.Anton Nik Berisha i cili vlerësoj punën e palodhur dhe me mjaft vlera  kombëtare në zbulimin e të vërtetave historike.

Ceremonia vijoj me klerikun e njohur Don Lush Gjergji, i cili dorëzoi në emër të Atit të Shenjtë Papa Françesku  “bekimin dhe mirenjohjen e vet Shenjtërise Papa Francesku”.

Presidenti Sejdiu në fjalën e tij të rastit gjithashtu e përgezoi z.Palnikaj,duke shprehur mirenjohje të thellë për dëshmitë e mira të mbeshtetjes së Kosovës dhe përkushtimit real të asajt që ka në shpirt dhe ne mendje duke e cilesuar si thesar Kombetar.

Ne fjalen e tij falenderuese z. Palnikaj shprehu mirënjohjen me konsideratë tepër të lartë në emër të tij dhe familjes, si dhe nënvizoi se do të vazhdoje të punoj deri në grimcat fundit të jetës dhe të studioj për Kosovën dhe gjithë Shqiptarët.

Ky organizim përveçse një vlerësim i madh për punë e tij në Vatikan, ishte një dëshmi e respektit dhe vlerësimit të madh që komuniteti akademik dhe shoqëria shqiptare kanë për punën dhe përkushtimin e Mark Palnikajt në fushën e historisë.

Kush është Mark Palnikaj?

Mark Palnikaj, studiues dhe albanolog i njohur, konsiderohet përfaqësues i denjë i shkrimeve ,dhe studimeve të dokumentave të vjetra shqipe, përmes të cilave ka gjetur dhe realizuar prurje të reja për gjuhën dhe historinë tone kombetare.

Është një nga studiuesit e dokumentave të hershme në arkivat e Vatikanit, Venecias, Napolit etj.

Evidentojmë se z. Palnikaj, ndër vite në sajë të hulumtimeve e studimeve në arkivat prestigjioze e të pa eksploruara më pare të Venecias, Padovas, Napolit dhe Romës ka arritur rezultate të dallueshme shkencore dhe historike.

Këto arritje janë të materializuara e përcjellë institucioneve e publikut nëpërmjet:

·  16 librave të botuar me karakter historik, të bazuar në dokumenta Arkivore ekskluzive të panjohura e botuara më parë.

· Botimit të shumë artikujve në gazeta dhe revista me emër në Shqipëri, Itali, Zvicër dhe Sh.B. A. si dhe referateve shkencore dhe pjesmarrje në simpoziume shkencore brenda dhe jashtë Shqipërisë.

· Disponimin e rreth 200.000 faqeve dokumente në dorëshkrim për Shqipërinë si dhe mbi 4500 faqe dokumente dorëshkrime arkivore me rëndësi për Historinë e Kosovës – të siguruara nga hulumtimi prej vitesh në Arkivat e Vatikanit (përfshirë edhe Arkivin Sekret etj), për të cilat vijon puna për transliterimin,  përkthimin dhe botimin e tyre.

For 5 years he has been conducting 1 (one) month studies in the Vatican Secret Archive as well as the Fide Propoganda Archive, where with long hours of work he has endlessly extracted unknown documents about Albania, which complete the treasure of Albanian history of the Middle Ages.

This man with a very strong character and a self-confidence imposed by his tireless work to clarify the unknown history of Albania has brought a number of 600-year-old documents in manuscript, which he has published and continues to publish .
