The Elbasan police have taken the election materials under custody and are committed to maintaining order during the election process in Elbasan, a district considered "hot", but so far the situation there appears calm.

Meanwhile, problems and confrontations have been reported between SP and DP groups in Dibër, with accusations of vote buying being made. There have also been reports of similar incidents from Gjirokastra, Korça and Vlora.

Elbasan Local Police Directorate:

In implementation of the institutional duties assigned by law within the framework of the electoral process, the structures of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate are carrying out the assigned duties with maximum commitment and responsibility.

10 CEAZs and 508 Voting Centers have been taken into custody by Police officers.

The security of the election facilities will continue until tomorrow morning, when the Voting Center Commissions and the Zonal Electoral Administration Commissions will begin work there.

All tasks defined in the plan of measures drafted by the Elbasan Local Police Directorate have been carried out meticulously and in accordance with standard procedures.

Steering and monitoring group

A steering group has been established and is functioning in the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, tasked with real-time monitoring of the situation, following up on the implementation of operational tasks, as well as processing and managing information, with the aim of guaranteeing immediate communication with the media and the public.

Current situation

Up to now, the public order and security situation appears calm and without problems. Readiness to guarantee security

The Elbasan Police remains fully prepared to fulfill its mission in order to guarantee order and security throughout the territory of the district, with the aim of ensuring a peaceful and orderly electoral process.
