A boat was blocked by the police in Ksamil after its driver was sailing without the relevant documents. The police also fined him 10,000 lek.

In terms of security during the tourist season, the blues of Vlora have blocked 7 boats this week alone, which have also been fined. The vessels will continue to be blocked until the fine is paid and the documents are completed.

The Border Police will continue checks along the entire coastline of the county. It also invites citizens to report any case of illegality, in the Digital Commissariat application, or call the toll-free number 112, guaranteeing anonymity, quick and professional response.

We remind you that security during the tourist season has been in the spotlight, but it culminated after the tragedy on the shores of the Ionian Sea, where 7-year-old Jonada Avdiaj lost her life. 

The serious event happened a year ago (August 2) at Potami Beach in Himare, where 7-year-old Jonada Avdia was hit to death by a boat while she was bathing in the sea.
