9 members of a criminal group cultivating cannabis in rented houses in the province of Valencia have been handcuffed. The anti-drug operation has led to the seizure of nearly 4,000 marijuana plants and a large number of equipment that traffickers used to speed up their cultivation.

The disbanded criminal group consisted of individuals of Albanian and Serbian nationality. According to legal sources, the detainees are charged with crimes against public health, criminal group and electricity fraud. It is reported that at the head of the gang that cultivated cannabis were two Albanians, who hired workers to take care of the marijuana plants, who decided to sleep around the house to take care of the plantations.

The infrastructure of each plantation to maintain proper environmental conditions required a cost of nearly 20,000 euros, while the gang leaders paid in cash agreeing with the homeowners for rents for their activity.
