In a ceremony organized during the end-of-year celebration of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, the Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda, awarded Inspector Marsel Bicja the "Certificate for Distinguished Services".

The certificate praises the action of Bicja, who intervened professionally and saved the life of a citizen from burning, after a Molotov cocktail exploded.

Motivation of the certificate: "In appreciation and gratitude for the act of humanity and professionalism shown during the performance of duty, where with immediate and decisive intervention he saved the life of a citizen, prioritizing the protection of human life, as one of the highest values ​​and the main mission of the State Police."

During the ceremony, Proda thanked the inspector for his action, adding that this action: "once again demonstrated the humanity and determination of the State Police to protect the lives of citizens. Continue with dedication to fulfill this mission with honor, as difficult as it is noble."

Even the director of the Tirana Police, Elton Alushi, praised the action of the Eagles employee, emphasizing that Bicja did not need a command to act, but was guided by human feelings and the uniform he wears.

For his part, Inspector Marsel Bicja expressed his gratitude for the certificate and emphasized that he acted without thinking twice, as protecting the lives of citizens is a priority for him and his colleagues.
