Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the meeting with the police leaders, said that "Within 100 days, the State Police must get out of the crossroads where it is".
"Mr. Director General, I am not exaggerating when I say that within 100 days, the State Police must get out of the crossroads where it is," said Rama.
In today's meeting where the new director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, was introduced, Rama also denied interference in appointments to the State Police, one of the hints for the reasons for the dismissal of Gladis Nano as director general.
"As your predecessor had, without conditions, without any equivocation or interference, may the day be distant when I will take the name of a police officer with my mouth, take it here, take it there, so far it has not come, the political support will you have too. You have a duty to answer phone calls, but you do not have a duty to answer phone requests, no matter who they come from. The day I will take you on the phone by intervening, you have the right to provide services of this nature", said Rama.
"Strength forward, making the night a day so that tomorrow is even better for the state police and when it is better for the state police, it is also for the Albanians who have decided to live in this country", concluded Rama's speech .
