Enton Janushi  was kidnapped and disappeared without a trace 11 years ago, on January 19, 2015, while he was wanted as a suspect in the murder of two brothers Florenc and Glevis Tola from Elbasan in the Netherlands.

As part of the investigation, prosecutors discovered through DNA that the remains found in the village of Babje, Librazhd in February 2015 belonged precisely to Enton Janushi, alias Taulant Maze.

Initially, it was suspected that the dead body belonged to Renato Hamza, a singer from Elbasan who also disappeared.

In 2022, it was decided to carry out an exhumation from the public graves in Librazhd and to compare it with the DNA of Hamza's mother.

But, after it did not match, prosecutors invited and took the DNA of Janushi's parents, as it turned out that his last trace after the quiet kidnapping in Tirana, like the cell phone, was in Peqin.

Just a few weeks ago, prosecutors confirmed that the remains belonged to Janush. Immediately after the news was published in the media, his two elderly parents have been searching for their son's remains.

According to the procedure, the prosecution must order the exhumation, a procedure that must also be carried out in cooperation with other institutions.

But, as Enton Janushi's remains are expected to be handed over to his family, the prosecution is continuing its investigations in the hope of identifying the perpetrators of Enton Janushi's kidnapping and murder.

The suspicions are that the crime was ordered due to the clash of criminal groups in drug trafficking, because the murder of the two Tola brothers occurred after the robbery of a large amount of drugs.

The main suspect in Janushi's kidnapping and disappearance is a businessman who is currently in custody, arrested by order of SPAK for another criminal case.
