Three people have been prosecuted at large by the Durrës police, as they used minor children to beg on the streets of the city.

The three prosecuted are parents of children who were encountered by the police during patrols in the coastal city.

Police notification:

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Durrës Police Station, during continuous patrols, with the aim of guaranteeing public order and security, as well as preventing and combating illegalities, have found that some children were used by their parents to beg in the area the beach.

For the ascertained cases, the materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings have started in free status, for the criminal offense of "Mistreatment of a minor", for the citizens S. Sh., A. S. and HS

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.

The Durrës Police appeals to parents and citizens not to use minors for economic activities inappropriate to their age, as in addition to being an illegality punishable in the Criminal Code, this action also damages the psycho-emotional health of the child.
