Farewell to the colossus of Albanian letters, Ismail Kadare!

The genius of Albanian literature, Ismail Kadare , was escorted to his last apartment .

The body of the well-known writer, who died two days ago (July 1) after a cardiac arrest, was headed to the Tufina cemetery after the tributes at the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.

The writer was escorted to his last residence with white roses and applause, while hundreds of citizens and well-known figures of art and politics were present.

Meanwhile, only family members of the colossus of Albanian letters and his relatives will participate in the funeral ceremony, Ismail Kadare will be laid to rest in the Tufina cemetery.
