Albania's military shipbuilding, Nufi visits Fincantieri's military

The Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, visited the Naval Ship Division of the Fincantieri company in Muggiano, Italy, within the framework of the partnership between Albania and the Italian maritime industry giant.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the visit took place at one of the most important European centers for the construction of military ships and naval systems.

During his stay at the shipyard, the minister was closely acquainted with the processes of design, production and integration of modern marine platforms, as well as with the standards of industrial management, quality control and organization of an integrated shipyard for shipbuilding.

In a reaction on social media, Nufi emphasized the importance of the visit for the development of the joint project in Albania.

"The visit served as a very good opportunity for the exchange of experiences and familiarization with FINCANTIERI's best practices, in function of the development of industrial capacities in Albania and the implementation of the joint project 'Fincantieri Albania' in Vlora", said the minister.

The partnership with Fincantieri aims to support the development of industrial and maritime capacities in Albania, while the "Fincantieri Albania" project in Vlora is considered one of the strategic investments in this sector.
