The court hearing for the three people arrested as suspects for hostage-taking in Vlora has concluded.

The court has imposed two security measures "prison arrest" and one "house arrest" measure.

According to the decision, citizens Orest Çorapaj and Julian Zogaj have been ordered to be placed under arrest in prison, while Vilson Agaj has been placed under house arrest.

The three suspects are expected to be investigated further for the criminal offense of hostage-taking, while the justice authorities will continue legal procedures to fully clarify the incident.

But what happened in Vlora?

The police discovered and released a citizen from Kosovo, who had been held hostage for two weeks in an apartment very close to the Vlora police headquarters. After discovering the apartment where the hostage was being held, the police identified and arrested three people suspected of being hostage-takers, who had demanded an amount of 70 thousand euros for the release of the hostage identified as Fisnik Xhaka from Mitrovica.

It was the latter's sister who called the Vlora police from Sweden after losing contact with her brother, while another version is that the sister called the Vlora police when the hostage-takers demanded 70 thousand euros for her brother's release.

Meanwhile, the investigative group set up for this event has doubts regarding the acquaintances that the hostage may have had with the perpetrators of this event, these suspicions are that a possible illegal activity may have brought the hostage-takers and the hostage together, as there is evidence that the hostage may have gone to the apartment, which is owned by one of the arrested.
