After 40 days in prison, Alti Nallbati, brother of Democratic MP Bledjon Nallbati, and two other citizens Marsel Buçi and Trajan Çeliku have left the Drenova prison premises after the court decided to change the security measure to "house arrest".

It is learned that in the court session, after 40 days of being held under the security measure of "prison arrest", due to the collection of evidence and additional investigative actions by the prosecution, the three arrested people who took hostage and raped 32-year-old Ilir Topçiu, have been placed under house arrest.

The incident occurred more than a month ago in the city of Bilisht, where the three arrested men forcibly took 32-year-old Ilir Topçiu to a warehouse owned by one of the arrested men, where they raped him and held him hostage for several hours.

The event shocked public opinion, and a day later, the regional police director, Erion Ahmeti, was dismissed and the deputy director for crime investigation at the Korça DVP, Hajri Kushe, was suspended.

Alti Nallbati and Trajan Çeliku were charged with the criminal offenses of “illegal deprivation of liberty” and “intimidation,” both offenses committed in collaboration.

Meanwhile, Marsel Buçi, in addition to the two criminal offenses above, was also accused of "intentional minor injury." Investigations have been ongoing on this matter since the moment Ilir Topçiu reported the incident to the blue uniforms.
