A serious event has shocked public opinion in Kefalonia, where 19-year-old Myrto lost her life in Argostoli after a night in a hotel room.

According to Greek authorities and media, the death was the result of cardiac arrest, while three young men, aged 26, 23 and 22, have been arrested and face charges of manslaughter by negligence and drug use.

Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis stated that the girl arrived at the hospital in very serious condition, with minimal signs of life, while doctors intervened immediately but were unable to save her.

Investigations revealed that the young woman had consumed cocaine in the environment where she was staying with the young men and, after her condition deteriorated and she lost consciousness, they did not call an ambulance.

Instead, they carried him outside and left him in a public area, later claiming they had found him by chance on the street.

Footage shows the moment one of them carries her unconscious from the building, while the other two stood by her as the ambulance arrived, pretending to be passersby.

According to testimonies and evidence, their actions were deliberate and coordinated, as one of them returned to clean the room and hide evidence, including the victim's phone.

The prosecution has filed serious charges against them, while the suspects have requested time to defend themselves in court.

The case has caused strong reactions in public opinion in Greece, bringing back attention to the dangers of drug use and responsibility in emergency cases.
