A letter apologizing to everyone was left by 17-year-old Vehip Peçi, before he committed the tragic act of ending his life in his apartment.
The young man from Gjirokastra, with excellent grades in his studies, was found hanged by his family the day before.
Although they rushed him to the regional hospital in Gjirokastra, he did not survive and doctors confirmed that the 17-year-old had died before reaching the white shirts.
He had been in a serious psychological state for some time and it is learned that he had also expressed his concerns to his friends.
The 17-year-old had warned of the tragic act and had confessed the thoughts circulating in his head to his closest friends, but the latter had never thought that their friend would be capable of undertaking this extreme act.
Meanwhile, in the 17-year-old's room, the team of investigators found several of his notes in which he apologized to his parents, teachers, the psychologist who treated him, and even his friends, for the concerns he thought he had caused them.
The serious incident occurred yesterday, April 20, when around noon, the family found the 17-year-old hanging. He lived in a small house in the village of Valare with his mother and two sisters, as his father went abroad to provide them with income.
The Peçi family had lived for a short period in the city of Saranda, before moving to the village of Valare. It is said that even when the minor was in Saranda, while attending 9-year school, he was constantly bullied by his peers.
This fact became a concern for the minor himself, but also for his family, who were then forced to return to Gjirokastra.
He also continued his studies at the "Siri Shapllo" school in Gjirokastra and is known to have been a student with high grades.
We recall that the high school the teenager attended is not an unknown name. Not long ago, a student from the same school, 17-year-old Irsa Muçollari, committed suicide after falling victim to bullying.
It is not known whether Vehip Peçi was also bullied on the premises of this institution or not. The police are working to fully clarify this incident.
