A serious event shook Kosovo on the evening of April 1 of this year, when police officer Muhamed Lika was executed at the entrance to his apartment in Kaçanik.

Seven young men have been arrested in connection with this murder, who are suspected of having worked together to hatch the plan and carry out the execution of the suspect.

Rejhan Bela, 18 years old, is suspected of being the perpetrator who fired a gun at Muhamed Lika.

According to what Kosovar media reports, Bela is one of seven arrested in an operation finalized this Monday morning in Kaçanik.

The 18-year-old is suspected of being part of an extremist group, which is said to have organized the murder of the Kosovo Police officer during the night of April 1.

Meanwhile, in addition to Rejha Bela, his brother, Haki Bela , 26 years old, and Rilind Murati , 21 years old, have also been arrested . Meanwhile, it is worth noting that among those arrested is also a former member of the Kosovo Security Forces.

Earlier, the Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazment Hoxha, said that some of the arrested individuals have previous criminal records in cases with a tendency towards religious extremism, and some of them have previously been in custody in connection with the incident where the Kaçanik Courthouse was set on fire.

We recall that the serious incident was recorded at around 11:00 PM on April 1, where Kosovo Police officer Muhamed Lika was executed with a firearm outside his apartment in Kaçanik.
