The Court of Elbasan has today set the security measures for the 6 arrested who are accused of falsifying the results of the parliamentary elections of April 25, 2021 in the District of Elbasan.

The arrested have been released from the cell, as the court has decided "Compulsory appearance" for them. It is about the 6 counters of KZAZ: Erald Karriqi, Ylli Kuka, Durim Alla, Erjon Dashi, Mili Vasku and Olgert Alla.

The prosecutor's office asked for prison terms for the six arrested and has stated that it will appeal the court's decision.

Meanwhile, it is learned that one of the two wanted persons, Oltion Bajrami, has been arrested, while Eduart Zito is still on the run.

The above eight citizens are accused of changing the result of the election in Elbasan, where it is alleged that the votes of the DP candidate, Ardjan Zeneli, went to the other DP candidate, Lefter Gështenja, who was elected deputy.

More specifically, Zeneli was deprived of 31 votes in the voting center no. 2780 and 38 votes in the voting center no. 2796, i.e. 69 votes in total, and most of them went to Gëštënja, 61 votes. The falsification of the result was noticed by the post-election review conducted by the Central Election Commission.
