Two brothers and another person have been arrested by the Police, as they are accused of cultivating narcotics.

The brothers: Njazi Sina, 36 years old, and Gentian Sina, 45 years old (brothers), both residents of Sauk, Tirana, as well as citizen Myslim Sina, 47 years old, resident of Rrogozhinë, were put in handcuffs.

According to official sources, the above citizens are suspected of planting 381 cannabis roots in the village of Garunj in Peqin, which were found by the Police and destroyed by burning.

"During the mass control of the territory, in the village of Garunjë, Peqin, the police services found suspected cannabis sativa narcotic seedlings cultivated, which were destroyed by burning. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the 3 arrested citizens are the authors of this activity criminal." it is stated in the Police announcement.

During the search in the apartment of the two brothers, the blue uniforms found 2 shotguns, a quantity of combat ammunition, 1 pair of binoculars, 2 radio transceivers, 1 vehicle, 3 cell phones and 1 cutting tool (knife).

The mayor of Garunjë e Madhe village, 47-year-old Halit Metalla, has also been put under investigation, who is accused of the criminal offense of "Abuse of duty".

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Elbasan Judicial District Court, for further procedural actions.
