U.S. Ambassador to Tirana Yuri Kim welcomes the State Cadastre Agency's 600-page report on the major and deep problems of property registration in Durres.
"We appreciate the report of abuse and potential crime with properties in Durres. We expect concrete steps to put responsible persons before responsibility, increase transparency and close any window for corruption when it comes to registering properties in Durres and everywhere in Albania," says the Ambassador.
According to Kim, these steps will attract more foreign investment, including American ones, and bring the country closer to the EU.
The Cadastra Agency published a report, according to which over 3,000 properties on the Durres coast had illegal interference with registers.
1/2 We welcome the candid report of the Cadaster Agency regarding deficiencies & potential crimes in Durres. We look forward to concrete steps to hold accountable those responsible, increase transparency & shut down opportunities for corruption…
