A person has been arrested in Shkodra after allegedly threatening a 20-year-old man with a firearm, initially shooting in the air and then fleeing the scene.

At around 1:00 p.m., Shkodra Police received a report of gunfire near the Train Station. Immediately after the report, law enforcement officers intervened by combing the area and made it possible to identify and arrest a citizen suspected of the incident.

The arrested man, Altin Shpendi, is suspected of threatening a 20-year-old man with a firearm, initially shooting in the air and then leaving the scene.

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the General Patrol services, supported by the "Eagle" Special Force, immediately after receiving the notification that in the "Tre Heronjtë" neighborhood, a citizen had threatened another citizen with a firearm, have organized the work to identify the perpetrator and clarify the circumstances of the case.

Thanks to the timely response of the Police services, it was possible to identify, capture and arrest the suspected perpetrator, citizen A. Sh., 26 years old.

From the first procedural actions, it is suspected that after a conflict for weak motives, citizen A. Sh. threatened citizen Xh. G., 20 years old, by shooting an automatic firearm in the air.

Police services have also made it possible to find the firearm with which the 26-year-old is suspected of shooting into the air during the conflict.

Work continues on the complete legal documentation of the case.

The procedural materials will be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action.
