The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has expressed concern about the situation at the nuclear power plant in Zarpozhzhia, Ukraine.

He told the media that the "physical integrity" of the power plant was violated.

Rafael Grossi led a team of inspectors to the Russian-controlled plant that has been bombed frequently in recent weeks, raising fears of a nuclear incident, The Guardian writes.

"It is clear that the plant and the physical integrity of the plant has been violated several times," Grossi told reporters after returning with part of his team to the Ukrainian-held area on Thursday.

"I have been concerned, I am concerned and I will continue to be concerned about the plant," said the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
