Lezha Police have announced that four people are wanted in connection with the assassination attempt that occurred on the evening of February 1, 2026 in the village of Rrilë in the Shenkoll Administrative Unit, where the owner of the barbershop, 30-year-old Sokol Daci, was wounded by gunfire.

The wanted persons are; Gerardo Ndoka, Eliseo Ndoka and Kevin Ndoka, all three from the Ndoka tribe.

The other person wanted is Merando Nikulaj, who was inside the barbershop.

The police inform that due to ongoing investigations, no further information can be provided, while work continues to locate and capture the wanted persons.

"Regarding the incident that occurred on 01.02.2026, at around 21:00, in the village of Rrilë, Shenkoll Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, where a citizen was injured by gunfire, the Special Investigation Group of the Lezha DVP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, has intensively continued the investigations with the aim of clarifying the incident, legal documentation, identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

Following the actions, the detention order issued by the Prosecutor was executed for citizen BK, 24 years old, resident of the village of Dragushë, Dajç Administrative Unit, Lezha Municipality, suspected of the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

From the entirety of the investigative and procedural actions, it has resulted that citizens GN, EN, KN and MN were included as suspects in this incident, and they have been declared wanted.

The special investigative group, under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, continues to work on the complete legal documentation of the event.

"Due to the investigation, no further details are being released ," police announced.

The target of the assassination attempt that occurred on Sunday evening in Rrilë, Lezha, according to the police, was 21-year-old Merando Nikulaj. However, the bullets did not reach the target, but the owner of the barbershop.

As a result, the business owner, 30-year-old Sokol Daci, was seriously injured, while it is suspected that a bullet may have also injured Nikulaj himself.

The intervention of a police officer who happened to be in the area prevented a greater tragedy.

The incident is suspected to have revenge motives.
