The Supreme Court upheld the life imprisonment sentence for Redjan Rraja, convicted of the assassination attempt on former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja, in which Ndoja was injured and the driver of the vehicle, Andi Maloku, was killed.

The Criminal College of the Supreme Court also upheld the 35-year prison sentence for Arjol Halilaj, on charges of the same incident.

The Supreme Court stated that it considers the appeal of the two defendants as unfounded and therefore upholds the decision of the Special Court of Appeal.

The Kosovo Criminal Court has sentenced Redjan Rraja to life imprisonment for the assassination attempt that occurred on November 1, 2019. Meanwhile, Rraja's accomplice, Arjol Halilaj, was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

The court is convinced that Redjan Rraja was the person who fired a volley of shots at the car of former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja. His driver, Andi Maloku, lost his life in this attack.

SPAK had as evidence traces of Redjan Rraja's DNA, which were found on various items in the gray Mercedes-Benz vehicle found in the village of Shkafan in Ishmi. A genetic profile was obtained on a pair of "Emporio Armani" glasses with his initials and on clothes, a hood and a pair of gloves found in the Benz. The police also seized 136 cartridges, two automatic rifles and a pistol that were used in the incident.

Other evidence against Redjan Rraja was the video footage of him leaving Ishmi in the direction of the car driven by AH. According to the Prosecution, after analyzing his cell phone, it was determined that he took 880 steps until he reached the place where AH picked him up. Also found on his cell phone were terms such as "bidon", "benzin", "autostradë", "benz", "Arjani", "Rrumi", "murder", "prison".
