The testimony of Daniel Shimë, former director of AKSHI , led SPAK yesterday morning to conduct several checks in Tirana , Qerret and the coastal area of ​​Palasa .

In his capacity as a person with knowledge, Shima has given statements to SPAK 3 times, revealing details about tender procedures and some assets that allegedly belong to the former director of AKSHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj .

Based on these statements from a witness that SPAK, at this stage of the investigation, considers protected, investigators have launched a property investigation against Mirlinda Karçanaj, Ergys Agas and businessman Ermal Beqiri .

Shima told investigators that among the assets owned by Mirlinda Karçanaj is a villa registered in the names of other people in Qerret i Kavajës and Palasë i Dhërmi.

According to the former deputy director of AKSHI, he has seen Mirlinda Karçanaj several times vacationing in the summer and on weekends, precisely in the two villas in Qerret and Palasa.

Regarding her presence in these two luxury villas, Mirlinda Karçanaj was also questioned by SPAK , who claimed, admitting that she was on daily vacation in these two villas, but added that she is not the owner of these villas.

According to Karçanaj, the villa in Palasa belongs to the former deputy director of AKSHI, Daniel Shima. While Daniel Shima, in his statement, claims that the luxury apartment belongs to Mirlinda Karçanaj. According to SPAK sources, in fact the luxury villa is registered in the name of an employee of Daniel Shima.

Meanwhile, regarding the other villa in the Qerret area, which was inspected by SPAK yesterday morning, it is learned that this apartment is registered in the name of a citizen from Kukës.

This person was located and accompanied to SPAK to provide explanations. It is learned that he stated that he did not have much information about what had happened to this property.

And immediately after administering this evidence, the prosecutors of the case, Altin Dumani and Bledar Maksuti, requested the conduct of searches in 4 apartments.

One in Tirana, which is the home of Mirlinda Karçanaj's mother, where the former official is currently staying under " house arrest ."

One in the Qerret area in Kavaja and the other two in the Palasa area in Dhërmi.

The checks were conducted in the hope of finding personal belongings or other data that could link Mirlinda Karçanaj to these assets and criminal activity.

Meanwhile, SPAK is expected to proceed with the imposition of preventive seizure against these assets in the coming days.

Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that the name of construction businessman Orest Sota has also emerged as part of this investigation.

Initially, his name came up due to a rental relationship he had with Mirlinda Karçanaj, where he rented a residential apartment in the capital to the latter.

Karçanaj himself claimed to SPAK that he found the rented apartment completely by chance and without being influenced or guided by anyone.
