In an official ceremony and with the participation of representatives of institutions, including the Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, and Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu, Hita took office, emphasizing the great responsibility that this position carries.
In his speech, he described this moment as a highlight of his 25-year career in the ranks of the State Police, underlining that this appointment is not a personal achievement, but an obligation to citizens.
"Today is an important day in my career. After a 25-year journey with the desire to serve citizens without compromise, I am honored to take on this task. I do not see this coronation as a personal achievement, but as a responsibility to citizens," he said.
Hita thanked for the trust given, as well as the colleagues with whom she has shared years of work, expressing special gratitude to the Police officers and their families.
Continuing his speech, he also focused on the challenges facing the institution, emphasizing that, despite the achievements, there is still work to be done in terms of increasing efficiency and public trust.
Excerpt from Hita's speech:
Today is an important day in my career in the State Police. After a 25-year journey with the desire to serve citizens without compromise, I have the honor to take on this task. I do not see this coronation as a personal achievement, but a responsibility to the citizens. I take this opportunity to thank the Prime Minister for the trust given and every colleague with whom we have shared this journey. I am grateful to every Police officer and their families who bear the weight of their work. Honor to the martyrs of the Police.
Work has been done and sacrifices have been made, but to this day, deepening the results and improving the State Police remains a challenge. The Police is not simply an institution that provides a service, but a place where citizens find support. Our priorities are clear: the uncompromising fight against organized crime, starting from our own ranks, increasing security parameters in schools, strengthening order throughout the territory, modernizing the Police.
